The 2008 Bicycle, Blues & BBQ Festival is on and better than ever! Join us July 11-13 in Clear Lake , Iowa , a charming lakefront town, for a weekend of great riding, blues music to feed your soul and barbecue that’ll take care of your appetite.

Back again are our three Saturday rides and the Sunday morning USCF-sanctioned road race. New this year is our USCF-sanctioned criterium bike race (think NASCAR on bikes). A criterium, or crit, is a type of short and intense bike race, usually run on closed-off city streets. It definitely can be a nail-biting experience and makes for great fan viewing, so at least come and watch. The Clear Lake Criterium is open to all experience levels and will run from 2 p.m. to around 9 p.m.

This year, all of our events, except Sunday’s bike race, will begin and end in scenic City Park in downtown Clear Lake , just one block from the beach and picnic areas, exceptional boutiques and antiques shops, and renowned restaurants.
